No story this time either, just more explanation!As a fair deal of you may already know, I've been in a bit of a redesign stage with my 'sona for a while now,and this is another great rendition done by another great artist with just about infinite possibilities!Nothing is set in stone just yet and I had a few other little ideas of my own, in particular the "lapels" on the shoulder and black sclera, and so I commissioned Yeou to see what kind of magic they could work and what additional ideas they could contribute, too!As stated in my previous bit of concept work by JeanWoof, one of the biggest changes I want to make for my new look is a more natural lupine fur pattern, as opposed to, you know, generic doggo.While there are a few more creative liberties and accents in this particular round of concept art, in particular I don't believe there are many silver-striped wolves out I think this is definitely a step in the right direction when it comes to creating a look that's both unique, natural, and pleasing to the eye.In hindsight I think the face in particular is a bit busy and I may play around with it a bit more on my own, but all in all I couldn't be more pleased with what came of this additional little experiment in redesigning myself.In the next bit of concept art I think I'd like to try out more natural color transitions and gradients in the fur aside from trying to sort out something that will look good for the back.What do you all think?I'd love to hear from my friends and followers alike, I'm dying for some constructive feedback and design ideas from other sources aside form commissioned artists to try out on my next bit of concept art, let alone when I throw down the big bucks on the final 3.0 ref.If anybody is particularly knowledgeable about more natural wolf fur patterns and the likes, too, PLEASE comment! Did you ever think you'd be into metal, folf~? Metal along the lines of the kind that's affixed in somebody's flesh more so than the stuff you hammer out all day or do another sort of hammering to when you're listening to dinosaur mating calls and sick guitar riffs. XP
Digging the new design and look forward to seeing what other changes are to come as you move towards an official 3.0 Question fur ya, well kind of an observation I suppose. It appears the ear tips are a fair amount darker than your previous design, which makes the difference a lot less pronounced from the main ear color. And I was curious if that was intentional. Like with the new design, at first glance it appears the ear colors are one uniform color, but upon a closer look, I can see the blue transitions to a lighter shade. With the previous design the difference was very apparent. Would you consider making it one uniform color? I’m probably explaining it weird so my apologies x3 Of course the look will vary based on different artists style here and there too. Personally I’d lean towards a lighter shade of blue, but then again the hair is nearby which is already a lighter shade as well.
Overall tho, as said I like the design, and I’m getting a lightning/icy element vibe from his colors
