...yes. That's exactly what it was. We had to DRAW a bunch of sounds by moving the line the way the sound made us feel if that makes ANY sense. Then, we had to connect all the random lines into some sort of composition. It was the weirdest project...

This is quite formidable, even though I have a certain distaste for the abstract drawings, although chances are it comes more from my lack of comprehension than from said genre's lack of merit. Even without knowing the appointed theme of this drawing, it's still difficult to leave the imagery unappreciated. It looks a lot like the illustration to the Inuit or other northern culture's book of fables, with the borealis draped across the pitch-black skies, and snowy white being the predominant colour. Sharply cracked edges of light and dark, as well as the style of those red decorations on North of the picture, invoke similar associations.
As for the sound theme, it's conveyed quite subtly, with those oscillographic lines and bubbles that I always pictured whenever a harp or a piano in a musical composition produced a particularly fluent trill or a descending passage. Or any of the lot of the audio effects that modern techno music is bursting at the seams with. Anyway, it's quite pleasant picture to behold, and to ponder about.
The entire assortment of the drawings born from artistic excercises that you've posted recently took me by surprise, and was very impressive. It's great to know there is one more artist in this community that is well on the way to becoming an actual specialist in the field rather than an amateur that the fandom is crawling with. Good luck to you, and my compliments on having the courage and the grit to go down this road, something I, for one, lack utterly D:
Keep up the good work ! And sorry for the wall of text !
