MilSim West: Flashpoint Astana 2018
A photo of the group I was involved with during MilSim West: Flashpoint Astana in late October 2018 at George Airforce Base in Victorville, CA. Really cool group of people both in role-playing and on the field.
The venue is really cool. It's a heavily dilapidated suburb for the now closed airforce base. It's like traversing the streets of Pripyat in the STALKER games or the world of Fallout, minus the radiation but plus the asbestos. Very dangerous, but very fun!
It was a very fun but arduous event. I have welts all over my body and my back is killing me, but it was so worth it. There was a bit of a real-world situation, however, where we got attacked by motorcyclists who were drugged up and vandalized some property / assaulted players, but they were apprehended by us players and arrested by the upstanding police of Victorville, CA.
I'm sure there will be a video of that altercation circling the airsoft forums / video related channels very soon.
Out of sake and concern of my privacy I blurred myself and my company shirt, which I wore during the event.

He was a real pain in both the NATO, RusFor, and Civilian sides and we all ended up teaming up against Jet in a glorious cooperative counteroffensive on Sunday, ultimately storming his apartment; and after an intense battle, taking multiple causalities, across all 3 major factions, we eventually took him and his team down, Bengazi style!
The rally behind that event was like that scene from Independence Day, sending radio communication about teaming up lol
Of course soon after NATO began attacking everyone else with Desert Fox and his crew helping us civilians. That battle was a bit lackluster as we held NATO off. We were really hoping they'd push in and the fighting would be absolutely hectic.
