The young psychic is likely to defect at some point in the future, even though he continuously fights to earn his father's love, the experiences of life after the loss of his mother leave him further disillusioned with every passing day.
A version of Delta was encountered by Archon Sigma in her own timeline, where the two fought for the imperial throne on the Moon in 8030 AD. This armored fox was then executed by Sigma as she took his place, and it is likely that ? was given the codename Delta by the psychic program as Sigma was very much aware of who he was and wished to use his potential for her own ends.
