They had heard its cries and loathsome howls for many evenings, but this night her world turned upside down, for 1 of the devils boldly approached the home.
It screamed like a dying woman and and gurgled in its throat, the stench of the beast overpowering.
The doe and stag froze at the sound as she was handing him his meal. She saw the terrified stare her mate had as he looked past her.
Every hair on her back stood up as the heavy footsteps of the beast came to the open doorway of the small bamboo hut.
And this is the beginning of the story of my new Native Meadow, (Still need a name)
