Oh no! Some guy got hit by a car and broke his leg, right outside the Monster Shop! Fortunately, a Monsterizer is just a specialized BioFix, and can be used as a regular one in emergencies. (The BioFix is sorta like a Star Trek transporter except instead of sending you somewhere it heals you.) Think of it this way: Stan was Monsterized into "Stan but with his leg not broken".

Tangential, but I bet extra limbs is a fairly common general purpose use for this technology, since it seems to be possible to use it for that. That's something that'd have a lot of utility in industry and day to day life, assuming you get over the hurdle of learning the coordination of spare limbs.
It's kind of like what TV Tropes calls Required Secondary Powers.
