Let me know where the errors are. In general it's a steel Cuirass and shoulder links. over a leather backed lamellar plastron, all over a chainmail hauberk. Underneath is a quilted gambesson, The Baldric is a "lift the tab" quick release. He's wearing a Roman style coin belt over his sash. Generally this is based on Byzantine styles, with the norhther European hauberk added in.
Sorry for late response, I was meaning I do like the armor as it is that is. Being all realistic can be nice sure but I even myself with little skill I have, being guilty overall to design some armors that probably might not work, totally anyway?
But I consider it is OK too to take some liberties, like now mixing chainmail with roman-style armor, from what I quickly remember anyway chainmail was made later? All I say it can work because this would take place in a fantasy world now. :)

Actually, no. Chainmail was a celtic invention and the Romans adopted it in the late republic, but because of the time and labor needed to make it, versus the amount of troops expanding the size of the Roman Legions, with the end of the Rome Residency requirement, this forced the Romans to use Lorica Sementata (Laminata?) This left the Chain Mail for officers, and equestrians (nobles). Later some officers wore Lorica squmata which is a beautiful armor made of tinned, iron scales, laced into a chain mail shirt. When Rome declined and it's economy could no longer support a manufacturing base necessary to mass produce Lorica Segmentata, cottage industries couod still produce chain mail, though ewer pieces because of time and labor.
Who would upset Sir magnus? Wello just about anyone, really. Upity Peasants, Smelly barbarians, clueless foreigners. about the only people's he nice to are other knights, and anyone of a higher rank than he is. He doesn't have much of a sense of humor either, as he gets kidn of earnest about some things.
