Shaw was born in the Andromeda galaxy, and as a young baby life was good. His family was well off, working for one of the major shipping corporations in their particular region of space. Life was good, all until Archon Sigma came to power in 8030.
Andromeda was home to many systems that were harboring elements that were considered unacceptable in her empire. All those elements had to be purged and cleansed. Once peaceful worlds were suddenly the sites of large battlefields with battered civilian populations and scattered rebel outposts. Shaw's parents found themselves on the wrong side of the conflict were forced into battle in the Milky Way, where they were eventually separated from their child...
