Being realistic, the personality of the doctor is much more dominant. Maybe in front of the other one "shows" like Pardonne later, but that would be his "mask" or "cover". If he is intelligent (as he is), that would be his way of acting now that he is "awake", nothing good will come out of this.
the monster resurfaced in the end ... as wanted our protagonist ... problems are coming and, Pardonne will now be in the background, to incubate the personality of the doctor in its current form. Considering how it is, the personality of the dosator will be more dominant than that of Pardonne in this divided personality relationship, if it has one.
