I'm not sure why I drew this humourous piece, but I found use for it in one of my fanzines the year after. I used this in Red Shift 7 to illustrate a long, rambling essay on how model building related to my artwork. I'm afraid it made very little sense, on a recent re-reading. The cartoon that went with it is definitely the better half.

This is no particular jet fighter, by the way. It's a cluge, incorporating parts from two or three.
