I feel like we've been waiting for Baileu for a long, long time. She's the heroine reverse harem fans deserve--she takes no garbage from anyone, can defend herself really well, and is at heart a very kind and likeable girl. The guys are her allies and romantic interests, yes, but you get the feeling that Baileu would probably be fine on her own as well. Add to this the fact that show doesn't indulge in the usual tropes, such as Baileu freaking out if one of the guys is less than fully dressed, and this feels like a very reverse harem show than we normally see. It isn't perfect, but the story manages to be effective and exciting, and the characters are, for the most part, really well written and fun to spend time watching. If you only watch one show this year, or even in the next several years, about a semi-ordinary girl surrounded by lots of hot guys, this should be it. And with so much effort put into the show's production in general, I think this is the Chinese co-production I've been waiting for.
