His name is Christopher Chip. His family moved recently, and he now goes to the same daycare/preschool as Skye does. Being slightly older than Skye, and incredibly intelligent, this chipmunk quickly became Skye's rival. He's quite a braggart, and will use any opportunity he can to show off, and always strives to be the best. At first, Christopher and Skye did not get along; with him being condescending toward the young mouse, and Skye frustrated and envious toward him.
However, a certain incident led them to eventually become good companions...
Description: A light brown chipmunk with a tuft of 'swept' fur above his head, with lighter brown highlights and a fuzzy streak of black colored fur. His fur-hair goes downward to the bottom of his head, with small tufts sticking out past that. He has small ears, the inside of which are pink, and a small pink nose. On his face are rectangular shaped-glasses, and his eyes are green. His tail has a think black stripe on the top. He is wearing a green open jacket-vest, with a red shirt and dark blue pants with cuffs on the bottom. He has a smug expression, smile making a "V" shape, holding a dark green backpack by the straps and sticking his chest out proudly.

Ooh! Christopher Chip definitely sounds quite intimidating. I wonder if he gets it from his parents, a sibling, and/or other family members? Perhaps he's trying to match wits with other smarty-training-pants kiddos in the daycare?
You certainly paint quite the image of him and Skye and Christopher having conflict makes a lot of sense. However, at least in most cases, opposites can attract. So it will be neat to learn of what got the two to become pals. :)

Well, the main reason for their conflict is not due to being opposites, in fact its more due to being very similar to eachother. They're both know-it-alls and eager to show off and get praise from the grown-ups, so it leads to a rivalry between them.
Christopher's parents are rich and are the high achieving type. He's also an only child and while they're strict, they also dote on him a lot. He's picked up a high-and-mighty attitude as a result - but it is warranted because he is incredibly intelligent and driven for his age, much like Skye.
Interestingly their relationship is loosely based off a similar experience I had when I was in elementary. I had something of a friendship/friendly rivalry with a classmate who was incredibly smart and had a similar upbringing. I recall them saying they didn't watch pokemon because their parents wouldn't let them due to it being "violent". I remember racing with them to see who could get our schoolwork done the fastest.

Very interesting. It's fun to revisit old memories with our characters as it, for me, helps me see both as I was at that age while also as an adult.
The closest I have to such a friendly rivalry was back in 1st grade. The blocks were the most wanted item during playtime and whoever got their test done first would get the best chance at them. So, on one occasion, I purposely blitzed through a test to beat my one friend who always finished before me.
However I still didn't beat him, I didn't get the blocks, and I failed the test.
It's quite interesting to look back at all that really did make us into who we are today. Plus, on another note, I hadn't recalled that particular memory for a long time. So, as is what makes the arts so great, they help us recall times, how we handled them, and learn how we all, to some degree, had a relatable experience. :)
