No, I'm just referring to the stereotype that the country that invented the siesta is itself too tired to do anything of worth today. The Spaniards were responsible for discovering the New World- Spain funded Christopher Columbus as well as the Inquisition, which saw the death of many religious teachers whose views ran against the Roman Catholic Church.
