The high technology seems to have made those weapons miniaturised. It is an H&K 416 machine gun of which full length is only 560mm (approx. 22.13 inches). It is quite a compact rilfe, but the total weight is approx. 3.8Kg (8.38lbs.). it may not be very suitable for hand-to-hand combat.
