This was done over about 3 days in the end of September.

I have a close friend who's visited me twice now all the way from Denmark (i'm in california, the most western side of the US). This visit he had asked about commissioning me a "real" painting, as he wanted something he could really hold and feel, but also support my work. So that was pretty cool of him! He's taken it home with him, so I can't personally get a better picture (I might be able to ask him to do that at some point, though).

This is his cat from his childhood, Zenia. I'm told she was a very regal show cat, a Norwegian Forest Cat specifically I believe.

There's a couple parts where I wish I would have approached it better, but I was a little rusty on watercolors. I had a test page and messed around a bit, sure. But it had been a good 6 years since I used watercolors specifically(I took a class in community college), not just inks. Still turned out pretty good, at least!
