I have a hard time with receiving sincerity sometimes. You believe that? I say sometimes because I'm still only human and I like to hear nice things. Maybe it's my modesty, that denial of flattery that just won't let me have nice things. Maybe it's the past disappointments, abandonment hangups or being used catching up with me in the form of distrust for kind words. Maybe there's just something wrong with me and that part of me does not compute, beep, boop.

Sometimes it's just easier to make a joke and recede away, or just not say anything at all. It hurts less in the end than the other way around. That's the wrong way to go about it though.

I have some growing to do still. Every day is a process, yeah? Woah, didn't mean to get that into it. Later much!
