This is an attempt at a long-undrawn, old Neverwinter Nights character of mine, Feng Blackvine.
Feng is half wild-elf, half human, raised by her nomadic wild-elven father. They traveled from one woodland to the next, never taking root - this was due to her father's faith mainly.
She was raised as a Malarite, despite the fact that all elves abhor Malar to the same degree he abhors them. Her father revered the Beastlord for his savagery, and for his hatred of the elven species. To him, the high silver and gold elven races are evil (as evidenced by the gold elves' attempt to wipe his own species out during the Crown Wars), and Malar's cause is a just one.
Once her father passed on Feng took to herself at a young age, still traveling, hunting, and worshiping as her father had taught her. Upon entering civilization though, she was treated to a rude awakening: an elven blooded worshiper of Malar was hated more than a human one. And though she didn't understand, she learned to cope.
It was the love she developed for a half-orc barbarian named Grak that redeemed her in the eyes of her race. The worshiper of Gruumsh died a year into their relationship, leaving her griefstricken. Ministrations from a follower of Sune convinced the half-elf to turn to worship of the goddess of Beauty and Love. She told the half-elf if she were to worship Sune truly, the goddess of Love would not leave their two souls lonely in the afterlife, but she would barter with the Orc King for Grak's soul, so they could be happy.
Whether this information was erroneous or not, Feng bought it, and now continues her travels: still hunting, still living simply, but with the love of Sune in her heart.
D'aaaaw.
