well i drew it at first in my small sketchbook, and than i scanned it as a reference and drew it with Opencanvas
this map is reeeally simple XD

hahahahahaha but I can't draw worth squat and the map I have in mah head is much more complex than ... yeah XD but I might scan it in and then "trace" or w/e highlight and make the areas I want known known. (mine has base topography on it too >.< )
and mah world is called "Baentir" the story I have associated with it (that started my world) is "tales of Baentir" and on top of that... its got 7 large nations with many small ones (that mostly go un-noticed but have a role in the future ^_~ however I haven't found a muse to write more recently. -sigh- stupid depression XD

the Background story is....
(My English is not really good, so i hope you can understand it a bit XD)
The year is 2339 so futury/sci fi but with a realistic Scheme.The main Nation i want to show in my comic is Darrad wich is powerful and often helpful for other nations.
The little Lupan State in the middle of the independent Lupan is a Enclave and is dependent to Darrad, but the bigger Part of Lupan want to be a Nation on its own with no big daddy, so a Independent Nation ^^
so the independent Lupan is fighting against Darrad, this war started about 100 years ago.
now there are a few fights not a real big war, because the civilian casulties are way too many, so they took a break, but the frontline between the 2 nations is really hot, so small skirmishes and/or sieges on little cities
the other nations like Domara or Saria are neutral to Lupan or Darrad and they do their own thing
Saria for example got the state of the art Technology and sell it to other nations ....
sooo its a bit with alliances and stand alone things....
i haven't done any alliances stories yet, its really the beginning of my project ^^;
and possible i wanna redo my comic pages :) (the main character of the Comic is a Darradic Fox named Dallant Olaris a "Attack Storm Unit" Seargent in the Darradic Union Army)
So the species question:
Darrad are Foxes
Independent Lupan and Lupan are Wolves
Saria are Cats
Domara sort of Winter Wolves and Polar Foxes (the east site of the map is Cold and more winterish :P )
and the other nations...i'm working on it ^^
but you can do a Fox nation too, no problem at all :D
there is no limit of you creativity
if you want you can create Weapon Firms and stuff :)
