Yanuna's situation is an odd one.
Keeping sanity with a mix of resentment and hope, then experienced primal rage- only being pulled out last second thanks to Felisha and now, it's just mostly livid anger.
The bitterness never went away. Yanuna knows that killing Pardonne won't fix anything. So our Zeraora is just... kind of self-destructing.

...Full Metal Alchemist pulled something like this off, they called it the door of truth. I think the stronger the 'can of worms' is the more destructive the opening of it will be.
After all of the work of taking away someone's memory, all that work would be put back into the punishment once those memories return. Especially ones so valuable as the scientist who studied formed and mastered his work with the lack of empathy.
Even afterwards, there is a choice to be made, will Pardonne stick with the path with a form cursed to her for the lack of care in the past? Or will she revert back to the scientist who would have preferred to have no worry of the things around him stuck in a form of his own design and torture?
