Hey look, I started to add the roof!
Big flat areas to either side of the roof framing will be catwalks with emplacements for Big Shootas. The actual roof will likely be made with damage-holes built into it, and I'm going to have to start adding dented and bullet-hole riddled armor plates to the wooden side-walls at some point.
So, any guesses as to what this is? Tygon, you're not allowed to guess, since you already know what it is...

DING DING DING! We have a WINNER!!!
This monstrosity is Triple R!
You know, like Triple A, but for Grot Tanks. Triple R stands for Recovery, Refueling, and Repair. Basically, the Grots of my Grot army took Big Mek Zodoff's workshop and mounted it on the chassis from a trashed Ork Battle Fortress. Why? Because they were tired of having to return to the workshop after any little skirmish or battle to - you guessed it - Repair and Refuel!
I decided a while ago that the Grot army needed a centerpiece, and I really wanted some kind of Lord of War that fit with the army's theme. While I'd like to use the rules for an Ork Battle Fortress (a bigger version of a Battlewagon), there aren't any rules for such a beastie anymore.
Tygon suggested I use the rules for a Gargantuan Squiggoth. I dug around online to find measurements for one. Like said Gargantuan Squiggoth, Triple R is about 9 inches wide, 13 inches long, and 11 inches tall. Really, Triple R is a tad taller than a Squiggoth, but the other dimensions work out almost perfectly! The Deathroller takes the place of the Squiggoth's stomping feet and giant tusks.
When complete, it will have a towing rig to pull hulks and wrecks into the workshop (already visible in some photos), an overhead crane (about half-built) for lifting things up during repairs, and other amenities. Shovels, wrenches, other tools, all will have to be included in the workshop area.
Oh, and vending machines for Orka-Cola and such. As a tribute to Gorkamorka, I'll be adding things I remember from that setting. Posters pasted to those wooden walls, for example. "Dey shoulda used SUPA GRIPPOS! Dey stick to da road REAL GOOD!"
Of course, it still needs a front end, which is what that gigantic goblin head I made is for. There's going to be a pair of KillKannon barrels sticking out through the eye-holes. I'm toying with having a poor grot rigger hanging from the end of the nose. Oh, and big shootas. LOTS of big shootas. The sad thing is, even with all of that, it works out to less than 500 points. As I'm trying to bring the Grot Tank army up to 3000 points, I'm still going to have to cobble up another 400 points of stuff. Another Zzap Gun tank is in the works, and I found myself another Wyrdgrot, so it is a start...
