My mate and I had a red tailed boa land in our lap and as a result, we have a new pet!
We have decided to call him Loki, as that is the name of some serpent god from somewhere. It was a suggestion that someone said and we took.
As you can see, he is still young, therefore still small. The guy who gave him to us said something about him only being 5 months old.
During some research I found that he may live up to 30 years and within the next two he will grow to his near full poential size at about 8-10 ft and weigh around 60-80 lbs. Thats a big ass slithering muscle. Hes cute now cause hes only two feet long. lol
I've found that I think the reason people are scared of snakes is because they have no facial expressions so its near impossible to tell what they are thinking aside from body language, which, isnt as easy to read as dogs.
Anyway, Heres good ol' Loki "hangin" out on my computer. Haha get it? Hes "hangin" out? XD

Also forgive the yellowish tint. I took this with my phone cam. Idk why it thought the room was yellow. It wasnt.

Oh a python! Don't they get large too though? In due time none of us will be able to handle Loki on our own. With a snake that size you really shouldn't anyway, even if you are capable. It could be potentially dangerous. It's one of our rules in the house too. It's still permittable now tho cause he's still so little. ^^
