The world is such a big place.

I mean it when I say "The World". I don't mean "the Earth" or "the planet". I mean the concept of humanity, the species, all our accomplishments, struggles, the day-to-day battles across all strata of history, what we think of as the sum total of everything happening under the skies above right this very second, "The World". It can be so very big and so very scary to us on occasion. SO much strife, so little compassion, so much anger without direction, never enough love without reason, it seems as if we've completely lost our way as a creature.

But within our home, our family, we have each other. We have trust. We have understanding. We have respect. We honour each other as friends or lovers. We have, above all else, love. We know that we can always turn to each other for whatever we need and that no matter how big and dark and frightening the world may become, within our family, there will always be a light on in the metaphorical window. There will always be warmth and comfort. One of us will have a smile. One of us will have a shoulder. We all will have each other. We will always have each other.

Now, it seems it's come full circle back to me, as our family is a little bigger now. *smiles sheepishly, a little misty*


So for  Ahriman -  Krissiefox -  Dratis and now, my lovely Lucifer's lotus  Sanita_Squirrel please never forget this, that even in the roughest times, we will have each other. Maybe we won't always need each other to be there but that's what real family is for.
