I was double-handicapped here, firstly, I couldn't see anything. As the EXIF data shows, this was just after 1am, it was night-time, so this was literally a shot in the dark. Second, I still don't have a tripod, so I had to hold the camera as still as I could, with my achey-shakey hands. I struggle to take a crisp shot even when the exposure time is less than a tenth of a second, here it was thirty seconds. You know how snipers time their shots with their breath? It was like that.

Wow, that's a lot of work, but the payoff was great.

Dang! That's pretty steady, especially for 30 seconds! I have difficulty holding a camera steady for one full second. I like how bright the stars look while being able to see the greens in the field. Bravo!

Normally I shake like a shell-shock sufferer with Parkinson's - that's part of the reason I don't ink artwork.
