The blood of 1,000,000 natives still burns, but the knife that cut them down rests upon a pillar of gold.

three boatloads of marines is not a peaceful scientific mission. (and it wasn't just to carry two 'spare tires' either)
if they'd been looking for anything besides people and places to loot, to finance europe's internecine wars at the time, they might have discovered panama,
but they didn't even try to go that far, because they found what they were really looking for at the first island they came to.
and just think, if they hadn't, if they'd actually reached 'india', they'd have raped, looted and pillaged there too, that having been their real and only intention.

but i don't believe the environment is going to take a whole lot more b.s., without calling in some seriously major kharmic debt.
i don't believe the seventh fire has been extinguished or will be. we live on land people learned the hard way how to live on thousands of years ago.
the invasion of this past few hundred years, has had its way mostly by sheer numbers, but the same earth is still beneath our feet and all around us.
