Ahhh, gorgeous! Our baby redtail, 6 months old, starting her training on the rabbit lure. The lure is named 'Legless,' and is only some stuffing within a faux-fur covering dealy, on a string. But Kaia gets a nice big reward when she 'catches' it.

Its an interesting question though. With harris hawks, if you raise them from the egg they half think they are people, and being social birds, they're quite gentle and careful around people. Or, well, they can be... but just like people, they each have little quirks.
heh heh, its really about the time methinks. I got into all this simply by finding a place to volunteer a day every week or two, which led to a job, and all the training I have is basically from the volunteer stuff, learning as I go. None of these birds are my own, though.
