though the works and fighting its not so much the kaiju that would worry me. some deep interal sub plot possibly regarding the fact of sabotage on the highest level. seen the feral nature of the beasts when their pilot goes unconscious... what prevents them from developing their own will or even a whole consciousness into their systems? their noble soul to fight to protect and serve? or a feral beast grown in a vat to fight and knows nothing but war?

That unit has a mind of its own, when it receives a fatal attack and synchronization with the pilot is lost, the unit looks for another source of energy to reactivate, and guesses that ....... uses the spiritual energy of the incocious pilot, and enters in berserker mode.

undoubtably with the technology the pilot becomes a "battery" if rendered unconscious leaving the beast to go crazy. but where is the pilot? is it within the beast or is it piloted remotely like avatar?

The unit lacks soul, I believe that the pilot's soul becomes one with him. But the pilot is unconscious.

interesting. if the beast craves a soul... i'd be curious to what would happen if it got exactly what it was missing. a soul, the pilot not just unconscious dies within the the unit could that make it fully conscious?

That android does not crave a soul, just wants to activate, this is something that was in its programming, it is an anomaly that scientists are still investigating.

It can not, it needs a pilot, remember the unit must be linked with the mind of a pilot for its operation.

i understand alot of what i'm talking about is mostly speculation i've seen most of the comments before posting. the one thing i have a question about what the long term effects of the mental bonding with the android can have.
