Yes, a wolf!
I started getting into shading and coloring but never finished it... only the jock seems to have 'depth' to it to me and.. well when I did it it was because it is a simple roundish shape, and was also smooth. Really!

I like it because it's impressionistic and it's got three really strong flow lines that draw your eye in and swirll it around. It's also subdued and cool and ralaxing to look at, like one of Picasso's Minotaurs taking a nap in the afternoon.

Wow.. I didn't think stuff I make could be considered 'structured' like that... I am looking at it and I guess the only 'flow lines' I see are maybe the underside of his arm, the edge of hte mattress, and the curve of his tail?

The picture pulls my eye right to the wolf's illuminated eye at the center top of the picture. You can't tell if he's asleep,or aware, or not. Then, start where the right arm comes out from under the pillow and run a gentle curve through his left leg. From the tip of his tail draw a tall "S" curve through his right leg and then run another gentle curve from his head through his left leg. Even though he's asleep, or resting, the picture fools your eye into lots of movement! His eye and his briefs highlight the picture but his underware is soft and cool where his eye is like a light in a darkened room. That's where the contrast and his character is and that's part of what makes the image more like Art rather than illustration. It has "gut" emotional appeal and quiet presence. See, if ya didn't know you had it in ya before, ya do now!!

Wow.. thanks dude... (or dudette, either way ^.^) I've never looked at it before.. but I guess that's kinda the way I made the picture in the first place. :) I just threw some blobs together and then sculpted them a bit and then realized it was becoming a wolf.. I *really* appreciate the analysis, though. :) I hope if I put up other interesting pieces you will look at them too!!
