I have a few more slots open for human-sized falconry gear but I'll be closing them on Wednesday, October 10th. For more information and to submit your request, go to FALCONRY GEAR FORM. Falconry commission slots will not open again until December so if you want some in time for AnthroNW or Mid West Fur Fest, this is your last chance!

If you fill out this form, I'll get the order and contact you back for payment. At this time, I won't be able to fill orders until September, unfortunately, as I'll be travelling for most of the summer. I can certainly get swivels and tethering lead for you to go with the equipment, even though it's not listed. Just remind me when you make your form submission. I've had a lot of interest in hoods. There are a few human-sized approximations out there but I've not seen something that is composed of full, stiffened leather yet. That's my goal-- something that looks, feels, sounds, and smells like the real thing, just scaled up for a fursuit head or bare human head. It's a challenge because the leather is thick, heavy, and expensive. But I've gathered materials and patterns. Now I just need the time to fiddle with it and make it happen. It's probably going to be a project for this fall or winter. Tell me this: Are you interested in having it go over a fursuit head? If not, would you want a beak built into it or have it just cover your face, leaving mouth/nose exposed?
Yes, I'm leaning towards having the beak attached to it also. I doubt that I could make the beak movable as the chinstrap of the hood is likely to interfere and may even be part of the support. Yes, my thought was to have the hood be pretty much like the real thing with braces, etc. I was thinking of a Dutch hood design, which tend to be the graceful shape that most people picture. Field jesses are listed on the Google form along with prices. If you wanted multiple swivels, I could do that. But, if you are a falconer, you can order them yourself from suppliers such as Northwoods or Western Sporting. They make eagle-sized hardware which should work pretty nice with the oversized field jesses I make.
