This is a piece inspired by the song, Battle Dawn by Mercedes Lackey. It is also meant to be a sequel to this old piece here:

The young queen has grown from a fledgling ruler tormented by the loss of so many loved ones to a ready warrior leading her armies against one who sought to steal her crown and kingdom, and badly treated one of her heralds. She appears to stand alone here with the morning sun to her back, her enemy facing her. Her loyal soldiers wait patiently for her signal, wait for her to raise her sword, so the battle can begin.
I've done two artpieces based on Mercedes Lackey songs involving this lioness queen, but I don't have a name for her. Maybe I should name her Mercedes?
