This weekend is a great train show at the trainyard Heddernheim of the U-Bahn Frankfurt to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the U-Bahn.

U-Bahn car of the U2 series. Those trains were for 40 years the backbone of the public transit of Frankfurt, they were in use from 1968 to 2015. There were also used by lightrails in Edmonton, San Diego and Calgary. This particular car, No. 303, was actually the first train that broke through the paperwall at Hauptwache 50 years ago.
