Yeah, Akai does really like to wear kimonos, and this one is one of her favorite. She usually uses it when she's hired for a very important events, such as a banquet that the emperor or the Shogun organizes... Yeah, Akai is that popular and skillfull to even attract the attention of high class people.
Akai herself isn't proud of it, nor she feels "Meh-ish" she just treats them as any other client: with respect.
Now, a bit of information:
Akai does like a lot the pink and red colors, mainly because the blue colors in the Japanese culture means purity and the red colors means love and energy. Pretty much fits in her personality, because she's a very innocent girl, as well she's pretty energetic and outgoing.
