lol goo cuse the GPS brought me there from friggin West Lebanon, last time I click "Avoid tolls" it took me almost 5 hours to get home. lol burt you know, it's so pretty out there that I'm kinda glad it did, I'da never seen it there in the fall otherwise, unless I was lost or purposely heading to THAT spot. There's a pretty little state forest out there, Pilsbury State Forest, and a small park ranger hut, I really really think it would be awesome to live in Newport, and work for the state parks department out there. I could get such awesome photos while at work in a relaxing wonderful park lol I'd own a log home and like 5 to 10 acres of land *dreamz* ^o^
Hey! I thought I recognized that bridge! I was there for part of the celebration when they were installing the bridge. They actually did it the old fashioned way using a team of oxen and a turnbuckle/pulley system to extend the prebuilt bridge out across the water.
Were you just passing through? If you went through Newport you were within like 15 minutes of my house...lol
Shoulda called me!
