Also, crowd’s got a point; I think we are pretty much accustomed to seeing unthinkable monstrosities on a regular basis. Hell! People like us DRAW them on a regular basis!
No wonder old Cthulhu here is all worked up. Damn near impossible to get a decent scare into us nowadays. Ah well, at least there’s pulp culture!
