This 1958 Oldsmobile 98 was easily my favorite car in the show. I refuse to apologize for photo-bombing my gallery with this vehicle the next few weeks. I love how massive the front bumper is around the turn signal. That wide strip of chrome with the words “Ninety Eight” on it is gorgeous (you’ll see the matching one from the other side a few photos further down the line)

There's more metal in the bumper of that land yacht, beautiful one at that, then there is in an entire car today !

I miss the cursive script that used to be on cars. The blocky letters of today don't seem to have the same touch. What a wonderful paint color as well. :)

Ah! I missed that initially. Yes the brass is a really nice touch. :) Hopefully it is a little impact resistant in case something forcefully bumps the letters.

Is there anything made of brass these days besides cartridge casings and some jewelery perhaps?

I've seen a production line where modern "chrome" bumpers and grilles were made.

It makes this all the more amazing.
