An inked drawing of the last armour design concept for the Wolf Empire of Tar-Koldor as featured in The Shadow of the Dog Lord Roleplaying Adventure Game Here we have a bit of a more detailed look at the overall armour: a steel collar crowning the lamellar breastplate consisting of linked squares of metal, linked in a fashion to allow freedom of movement, an undertunic with chain-mail sleeves and a combiation of leather and steel (the star) bracers, a conquistador-inspired helmet and a kite shield featuring the star of Tar-Koldor embossed in steel on its face.

Weapons of choice are the halberd for the infantry with a special rapier sword. Hence the relative lack of armour on the legs/paws. The wolf would rely on his speed and his shield to defend himself and allow for quick fluid movements for stabbing with his halberd.

The rapier will be further illustrated in later drawings. I want to keep the elegant fencing style sword, as it ties these characters into a very arrogant seafaring empire in the middle of their industrial revolution, but giving it a wide broad and heavy blade, since these wolves are rather strong

I intend on drawing and colouring another version soon to show how the colours work with the newer concept. I'm thinking of losing the cloak on these infantry, keeping them for captains and guardswolves. The infantry may just receive sashes with their heraldic colours on them.
