"An enforcer of the Regal Security Service mercenary group, Kate McKinnon has a long career of taking down criminals. Once an idealistic officer, McKinnon’s life changed when her unit was caught up in the Separatist Riots on Mars. She was captured and tortured by protesters for six weeks before she broke free. It took twenty-one surgeries to reconstruct her face, the tissue being completely replaced by synthetic flesh, which led to the nickname '21 Faux.' While her physical scars have faded, the experience changed McKinnon for the worse. She deals with criminals in a brutal fashion, often inflicting the kind of pain she herself once endured."
