This is something I see on a pretty regular basis. Creatives or fans shaming themselves for owning too many characters or even worse shaming others who enjoy themselves.
There is no reason to have guilt over creating such wonderful content? No reason to be asahmed of yourself for growing and learning through your craft and having lots of wonderful end products to show for it. There is never anything wrong with that.
Not to mention why do it in the first place? Do people want creatives/artists to stop making content? Please. Just understand these actions do have consequences. Even if you're just saying it @ yourself, if you are a creator and literally 1 person follows you? You're putting that shame out there. That you need to be ashamed, that people who see you/your work should feel shame for it too. It just doesn't... make sense.
When artists create wonderful characters and designs, even better decide to share them with the public? That's marvelous. That's so cool to get to see little pieces of the artist themselves in each character design. And when you purchase those designs for literally any reason, you're supporting that artist. So to shame yourself for supporting other artists or shame others for supporting artists is just not something I will ever personally tolerate.
I just wanted.. to remind you all I guess? It's okay to have fun. It's okay to just create. You don't HAVE to have a big plan or bigger picture. Just.. enjoy yourselves.
The artwork above is just something I whipped up on the fly to show some of my more recent sonas I've used! They all are usually me, but also in their own way they have their own identities and explorations to make. And that's the exciting part about having multiple sonas for myself. So many things to learn about myself. c;
Anyway, don't shame artists. Don't shame customers. Don't be an asshole. (⌒▽⌒)
