I just started watching South Park and am currently on season 12 but I did see the new episode last night! I liked old seasons preferably since it was focused more on the kids and the dumb stuff they did than super topical subjects. I mean, they still made fun of popular topics then but it wasn't "in your face" if that makes sense. I like South Park and I don't mind getting more seasons but all shows get stale after a while and it's better to stop now than wait till everyone hates it to stop. Still, if the creators ACTUALLY want it cancelled then I'll watch the episodes out of curiosity to see how far they will go.
Also, South Park is a really good thing to put on while drawing! I'm interested but not entirely focused on watching it so I can look away to draw.

While it smells like promotion to me, and very much in their style, I wouldn't be surprised if they were getting a bit tired of doing it by now. It would certainly be better to see them blow it up themselves than to see it fizzle out due to a lack of creative inspiration...
A promotion wouldn't be surprising but still, South Park has been going on for 21 years. I think anyone running a show for that long would get tired. I'm still curious on how future episodes will hold up though. Considering how much the creators love South Park, I would hate for it to have a lacklustre ending. I mean, the new games were AMAZING for the fans and Trey and Matt put their soul into creating them. I can only hope the best for the show.
