Modern magic with modern sensibilities dictates the the need for more conventional, flexible spell storage. I've opted for an electronic format, it's much more lightweight and portable than any thick tome.

A piece I decided to get to show off my magical side. I've always been all about magic systems and how they work. Quite frankly I'm sick to death of the only answer to stopping some ancient evil™ being an equally ancient ritual™ in some dusty tome.

"This is the only way! It's how the ancients sealed him last time!" You know, that's never been good enough for me. Someone wrote that ancient ritual, presumably there's some sort of logic or system behind it. Without that, it would be practically impossible to formulate any kind of suitable deus ex machina ritual.

So then why aren't there any modern wizards? And if they exist why must they be so reliant on ancient knowledge? Surely with modern intelligence and knowledge the mechanics of magic must be even easier to figure out compared to oh so long ago, right?

But nope. It's always impossible. It always comes down to having the exact right Tibetan singing bowl and a moldy tome with the supremely ancient ritual™.

Well screw that. Robin's a metaphysicist and he researches and writes his own spells.
