Rhea Karagos is an Avian with a very peculiar trait, the curse of the phoenix. When she passes on, she is reborn from the ashes much like the phoenix of legend, but in her new life she becomes a different person. One life she may be a majestic eagle, then next a lowly sparrow. Everything about her changes from the color of her eyes right down to her personality and yes even her sex.

In her current life she takes the form of a woodpecker female with a slim build and a feisty temper. She died defending the people she cared for with a burst of energy stored up in her life force. In her explosive death she unlocked a greater power within the phoenix. After she was reborn, she rapidly aged for about six months until reaching maturity. In that time she learned the ways of pyromancy and some basic spell weaving. However, her reputation as a which quickly spread on through the lands, which ended up attracting the wrong kind of attention. After kicking a lil ass a Toruva (horse) named Allistar made her an offer as his apprentice.

Rhea is the first in a few pictures I want to work out based on the major arcana (aka the tarot cards). Rhea is based on the Magician, a card which can mean transitions, or having the ability to tap into ones full potential or transform.

I hope that's clear enough, I know I'm pretty garbage at writing these kind of things out, but I hope to tell more stories with my characters!
