Dani hadn't forgotten the promise she made a long while back, and apparently part of it required some tweaking on my end to her preference before she even gets started. Given the state she was in when she made the promise however, I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised by the turnaround play.

I'd say scars (or lack thereof) tell a better story than the actual prosthetics, but for the most part it's intended to be a symbolic feature of my fursona in this case.
One, I am transhumanist in outlook. Not to the Machine Cult degree of "flesh is weak, metal is strong", but enough to see cybernetics being worth investing in as required.
Two, I have a tendency to be too stubborn for my own good at times, and do on occasion put myself at risk of injury. On that same note, I also hate the idea of remaining crippled as a result of such an injury and would rather seek out a means of overcoming it.
