Another bit of poetry I wrote about Humanity and Warfare, and about Religion and Politics screwing it all up.
Hope you enjoyed it! There'll be a lot more where that came from

I like it, its good =), it puts the finger on the sore spot. We're in 2009, the middle of the information age, and there are still people who are ignorant, intolerant, hateful.... I often question myself why? Why? when we are so enlightened, gifted with an understanding of the world. Why do some still find it necessary to believe in bronze age fairy-tales where the real deal is so much more beautiful. Why do people still mind wether a person is white, blue or pink for all that matters. Why are children instead of supported in their search of knowledge, barred from it. Why is being smart seen as a negative thing by most of the youth? It seems that not much people want to understand that the pen is mightier than the sword, and that one person can make a difference.
Its time for those who want to leave the dark ages imposed on us by religion, politics and warfare, should figurally get into arms. We should shout out, and be heard. Together we can form a power big enough to smash right through this wall of ignorance, this wall of hatred. We just have to stand together.

Hehe, I read your comment man, and I'm glad someone actually gets the picture. The Search for Knowledge is barred by ignorant religious types who only want easy answers and to find their own common enemy to beat up. Why can't we get past the discrimination, the injustice, the negativity and all search for the knowledge we seek. If not for Christianity, Islam and many other Religions with "Rules", we would probably be very advanced and socially equal by now. Unfortunately we all live in a world where that is not possible.. Where Humans struggle to satisfy their own needs, and at the same time some religious minister is gobbling away at his 1st Class Dinner.
The Pen is indeed mightier than the Sword my friend. I like your ideals and I respect your judgement. Thanks for reading my Poem, and I'm glad to meet someone who understands the concept it is trying to imply =3

I can say the same. I wish I had your poetic talents, because I've never been able to express it this beautifully.
Theism, and all forms of injustified hatred is nothing but a wall, and walls can be taken down. I can't help but be reminded of Roger Waters and his album Amused to Death

Poetic Talents? Are you kidding? I just spoke from my heart and mind and it kinda compiled itself together
But thanks for the complement
Yeah, but that Wall is one of the biggest walls of all of them... Take a look at this for amusement:
