I went on a class trip to a raptor rehab center. They're pretty slow in the winter months and all their new members we couldn't see.
We got to meet their resident birds. These are the guys who can't go back into the wild and are used for teaching.
Here is the female one eyed kestrel. She was beautiful and will even raise orphaned kestrel chicks.

I wouldn't they're not a domesticated pet. That's why we have dogs and cats. Wild animals belong in the wild, instead of spending money to breed animals as pets why not spend that money to fix the wild habitat all these animals live in.
The UK made it illegal to remove their scent gland, I hope that gets there popularity as a pet down honestly.
