EMPTIED TREASURY

Passing through the ruined halls, you find many rooms marked treasury, each is empty or damaged. Finally at the end of the passage, there is a sealed door, also inscribed, treasury, hoping this one is the right one, you push the heavy door and enter.

You pass into the treasury expecting finally to see something for your efforts. Surely something would be left.

But there is nothing.

The walls are picked clean, the chests ripped open, and the valuable removed. The temple must have been robbed in the ancient world.

You curse loudly, at the strange painting glaring back at you. A great vulture leers down at you; it’s talons as empty as the room. You charge the painting wanting to rip the mocking thing from the walls.

You strike at it with your own talons, crisscrossing the creature with your vile marks. You hands are great wings – greater than the paintings, and your back curved and dangerous. You maul the offending image in an iconoclastic fury.

You have become the VULTURE
