ANCIENT CRYPT
Carefully you move the door, and slide into the room. The scent of embalming fluid and bandages is thick in the air around you. The torchlight reveals little in this pitch-black crypt, but ahead you can see a chamber, containing a long table.
The table before you is bare, but for one strange item a jackal-mask. Carved of wood, and painted, it almost looks lifelike.
As you hold it, you feel the words of ancient embalmers, and lower the mask on to your own head. It fits like a glove, and soon you can no longer feel the mask there at all. You breathe through the jackal’s mouth, and hear through the ears. Your body becomes muscled, and covered in black fur. Your feet arch, and you wear the garments of an ancient embalmer.
You have become the JACKAL
