It's... weird, actually.
I've seen guys who normally draw other kind of things do their own takes on Bowser, the Boos and other Mario monsters. And i got the idea from /d/ to draw a Princess Ridley, so i don't see this thing dying out quickly.
Hell, there were a bunch of angry people trolling the fuck out of Momokun, telling her to not cosplay as Bowsette for some reason.
