You mean the cords that connects to the armor when you’re piloting the mech.

Sorry for the second posting, chum, but I had something in mind to add. It's some lyrics from a song by an electrorock band that I always thought meshed well with the EVA Pilots and NERV's purpose in Neon Genesis Evangelion, and the horror they regularly felt at what the Angels were intent on doing, and what those young pilots needed to do to stop them, or at least try.
"I don't think I like this place, I don't think I like your face
I don't know if I'll stick around, I don't know I just might leave town
I don't care much what people say, nothing's perfect anyway
No one said that the world was fair, all I want is someone to care!
I wear the uniform of youth and I hold on
I wear the uniform of youth and I hold on
Dress it up, play it down, take it out, kick it around
Never mind that I'm not like you, I'll just do what I've got to do
I wear the uniform of youth and I hold on
Yeah, just hold on!"
-Mr. Mister, 'Uniform Of Youth', from the album 'Welcome To The Real World (1985) (Youtube song link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKDYZpyB5s8)
I always thought that screamed Shinji Ikari (the young, black-haired boy who was the pilot of the EVA-01 and the estranged son of NERV's chairman), in his being forced to fight in the frontlines of a war for humanity's survival that he really didn't care about, and by a father and a government who only ever saw him as a tool, a weapon, and an obstacle, but never as a person.
An excellent picture, my friend, you've shared with us. It embodies- along with the others related to it- exactly what I found the most appealing about Evangelion.

And very thoroughly so! I've been very fond of the gigantic Baldur and his friends and enemies you've depicted, and as much so your excellent take on Evangelion and the EVA Units and the pilots themselves; it's always a pleasure to meet a fellow lover of wolves and even moreso, one who applies his own wolfish, special touch to a couple of my favourite legends: Germanic Warrior Fighters and Demigods, and Evangelion and giant, piloted robots! :) Thank you kindly for sharing your craft with us all, my friend!
