She's just picked a consistent color scheme (and hairstyle) to make it easy to recognize her in any species. Four arms makes it easier to do her job, household chores, etc. Egg-laying's got nothing to do with it. She just generally prefers furless forms. Easier to bathe.
Go back and look at Sunday. She takes pictures of all her forms, and the first is of her as a human.
