I've always been a bit of a gun-nut, and at the time I was drawing this, I was an avid airsoft player. My rifle of choice was the Swiss Arms SG-552 Commando, which is of course the same rifle I decided to give Jackson. In this shot, it's hand drawn from memory, but later on in the comic, I actually trace pictures of the real weapon to get it as accurate as possible. The sword isn't any particular sword, and while Chester refers to it as a katana, it really isn't, since it doesn't have a curved blade.
You'll also notice some of my signature dumb-ass humor here, in that one henchman running at them with gardening shears. I remember thinking that was soooo funny, and upon re-reading it... I still do. I crack me up.
