I suppose I'm posting this mainly to prove that I do actually have some capacity for making my own costumes!
This is pretty much the only decent WIP shot I took, as I had to make the costume (a theatrical version of my lemur character, Pickle) in a fair hurry so I could take it with me to Eurofurence.
I ended up grafting a lower jaw on to this after my attempts at a moving jaw failed. And, frustratingly, the finished mask ended up being a somewhat different shape to this, as I left the mask to dry in such a way that it warped under its own weight, resulting in the whole thing looking wider, and the muzzle shorter. A real shame, but I didn't have time to make another from scratch, so I worked with what I had. Still, at least next time round I will know to better support the mask while it's drying!
The materials are Wire Form and a type of modelling clay that becomes a lightweight, MDF-like material when dry.
